This article is a comprehensive and reticulated synopsis of Phillipians scholarship on Phil 2:6-11 also known as the christ-hymn. I engage with material from a variety of academic outlets, whilst demonstrating that Phil 2:6-11 as a pre-Paulinic does not necessarily point to the deity of Christ but rather that christ-hymn adduces a robust human-christology.
